Cheese and crabmeat casserole
ingredients
450g/1lb Cheddar cheese, cubed
8 slices bread, crusts removed, cubed
275g/10oz frozen crabmeat 5 eggs
600ml/1pt milk
75g/3oz butter, melted
• Preheat the oven to 180°C/
350°F/Gas mark 4.
• Alternate layers of cheese, bread
and crabmeat in a casserole dish.
• Whisk together the eggs, milk and
melted butter, and pour over the
layered mixture.
• Set the casserole dish in a baking
tray. Carefully fill the tray with
water to come halfway up the
sides. Bake the casserole in the
oven for 1-11⁄2 hours. Serve hot
serves 4
